Daring decision after daring decision. The conditions were rarely favorable, and even the people closest to me often tried to stop me. Every time, I believed in myself and kept going.
Sangeeta Sharma is a life coach, author of Four Layers to Your Dream Life, and creator of the Four Layers Method, which heals the body, energy, emotions and mind together. After 27 years in the IT profession and 10,000+ students and professionals trained, she has devoted 25,000+ hours over 11+ years to coaching people in 23 countries.
Standing at the window of my own office, with a company that was going well, I asked myself a question I had avoided for years: is this really my life? That question, and ten silent days that healed a wound I had carried since childhood, are why I do this work. This is my story.
I was twenty, fresh out of college, when my father’s job was interrupted. He was the only earning member of our family. There was no one else to step in, so I did.
I took the few computer courses I had done as hobbies and turned them into a business. I started a computer training institute and ran it for years, and I helped my family stand strong again.
That was my first lesson, and it never left me. When you decide to act, you can build anything. It was the beginning of a 27-year journey in the IT profession, and that small institute was the first step on a path that would go on to touch more than 10,000 learners.
When life took me to a smaller, more traditional city, everything changed: the pace, the thinking, the freedom I was used to. I could have shrunk. Instead, I started my own venture there, and it began to run successfully.
Then I made a decision that many would not: I chose my daughters’ future over my own success. I wanted them to have the best schooling, so I moved back to a bigger city and left that venture behind.
I did not want them in day boarding. So I became a teacher in their school, and stayed for ten years. I was there for every school day of their childhood.
It was a secure, respected job, and I was close to my girls every day. But I knew I had more in me.
I was a graduate, and I wanted to upgrade myself. So while I was teaching and raising my daughters, I studied. In 2002, I completed my MCA, a Master of Computer Applications.
Even at home, not everyone was in favor. I chose to move forward with confidence and self-belief.
I did not stop there. I gave my summer vacations to Oracle, and I cleared my Oracle DBA certification in 45 days. I was still teaching, and I was already preparing for the life I wanted.
Then doors began to open. Big IT companies started offering me opportunities.
After ten years, I had a secure, respected job, and everything was safe. The opportunities were real, and I resigned to take them.
Not everyone was with me. “How can you leave a safe job?” they asked. They meant well. They could only see what I would lose. I could see what I had already built and what I wanted to become.
It was not easy. Each time I was opposed, it hurt, and at first it disturbed me. Then I would gather myself and tell myself: this is what I have to do, and whatever happens, I will face it. It was hard, and sometimes very painful. But I kept going.
I am a spiritual person, and I believe God gave me that strength. In those years, I used to hum a song about life being a battle at every step, and how we will win if God is with us. That was exactly how I felt.
I stepped out as a corporate trainer, taught several batches at one of India’s leading IT companies, and then worked as a database administrator.
Then I stood inside a very good company, watching the managing director. What inspired me was not his title. It was that he gave employment to so many people. I asked myself: why can’t I do that too?
So I decided to start my own company, so I could provide employment to others.
Once again, everyone stopped me. “Why are you leaving such a good job?” they said. I took the risk anyway.
I ran that company for five years. I gave employment to freshers, trained them, and watched them grow. Across my IT career, I trained hundreds of freshers and helped launch their careers. It was one of the proudest parts of my life.
One day, I stood at the window of my office. The business was doing well, and the next step seemed obvious: invest more, expand, grow bigger.
But I asked myself two questions I had never dared to ask:
Is this what I really want my life to be?
Do I see myself as the CEO of a big IT company?
The answer was no.
It would have been easy to ignore it. I had built something real. But I was not feeling fulfilled in my career or my relationships. I was overthinking, and on some days I did not feel like doing anything at all. I knew I could not build the next chapter of my life on a “no” I was pretending not to hear.
This time, I was walking away from success itself. It was my hardest decision, and my bravest.
Around then, a young woman on my team was in the darkest place of her life. She felt she could not go on.
I had no coaching tools. I had no training. All I had was my willingness to sit with her, listen, and guide her. And slowly, she found her way back.
What I felt afterwards was stronger than any business milestone. This was what I was meant to do. Not just to build companies, but to help people rise from the places where they feel stuck.
At the end of 2014, I walked away from IT. I did not rush into my next chapter. I gave 2015 to myself.
I will tell you something most people don’t know about me. I was shy.
I had spent my life teaching technical subjects and working behind machines. I did not know how to be fully alive in a room full of people. I had words inside me and no idea how to say them.
Most people would have stayed in that comfort zone. I chose to walk straight toward my biggest fear. I decided to build my new life around expression: speaking, guiding, and standing in front of people who needed to hear me.
Today, I lead workshops, speak on podcasts, and hold rooms full of people. The shy woman behind the screen found her voice, and now she helps others find theirs.
Beginning in 2015, and over the years that followed, I threw myself into learning, and I did it the way most of us do, one method at a time. In the middle of 2015, I began working as a coach, and I kept studying and healing myself alongside my work.
NLP sharpened my thinking, but I could not feel the change deep inside. Energy healing gave relief, but the old pattern came back in another form. Clinical hypnotherapy, past life regression and life course work took me deeper.
Every method helped. But each one healed only one part of me. I refused to settle for “almost.” Something was still missing.
Then I went to a ten-day Vipassana course. For the first three days, all I did was watch the sensation above my upper lip. It sounded simple.
As the days went on, I began to feel something I had never noticed before. My body was rigid from the inside, as if ropes were tied through my energy centers, my chakras. I had been carrying that tightness for years without knowing it.
Around the ninth day, something changed. The ropes began to open. I felt a release, and my chakras began to turn, as if they were coming into balance. I sat for hours every day, and the heaviness, pain and tightness I felt in different parts of my body slowly dissolved.
By the tenth day, my body felt very light, and very healed. That was when I understood: the pain I had been carrying was not only in my mind. It was living in my body.
After Vipassana, I kept going deeper. I worked through my emotions, I went through my emotional closures, and I changed my thoughts. And I began asking a new question: when I feel abandoned, where does that feeling come from, and where is it stored?
For me, the answer went back to childhood. When my younger sister was born, she was very fair and very cute, and I was a little wheatish in complexion. People kept telling my mother that my sister looked just like her. As a child, I felt left out. My mother is a very loving woman, and I don’t think anyone meant it that way. But a child feels what she feels, and that feeling of abandonment was stored in my body.
Quietly, a belief took root inside me: I am not good enough. I carried it everywhere, deep inside. And for years, I tried to prove it wrong, by studying more and doing more.
When I look at my life now, I see it clearly. Much of my effort was my way of saying, I am enough. I gave everything I had, and the feeling stayed, until I found that wound in my body, my emotions, my thoughts and my energy, and healed it at all four levels.
I worked with that wound at every level. I felt it as a knot in my body. I accepted it and let it release. I understood the emotions around it and the thoughts it had created. And I used a few processes to shift its energy.
When I healed all four layers, the change finally stayed.
It did not happen in a day. For several years, while I was coaching and working on myself, I kept refining what I was learning. I watched what worked and what did not, and I gained more clarity. By 2020, it was clear, and I wrote my book, Four Layers to Your Dream Life, and named it the Four Layers Method.
Later, I discovered that it echoes the ancient Vedic understanding of the koshas: the physical, energy, emotional and mental layers, leading toward bliss.
I did not find this system in a classroom. I built it from my own life.
If you take one thing from my story, let it be these:
Look at my story, and you will see one pattern. Whenever life pushed me toward safe, I asked what was true. Whenever the people who loved me said “don’t,” I listened with love, and then I trusted myself.
The conditions were rarely favorable, and support was not always there, sometimes not even at home. What carried me was self-belief.
That is why I do this work. Many of the women I meet have been told to stay safe, stay small and stay quiet, until they cannot hear their own voice. Many of them are also working hard to prove they are enough. I know that feeling, and I know how to heal it.
For 27 years, I worked in the IT profession, teaching, training and mentoring more than 10,000 students and professionals, from school children to college students to employees of IT companies, including hundreds of freshers whose careers I helped launch, and running my own companies. For more than 11 years since, I have devoted over 25,000 hours to coaching, healing sessions, workshops and programs for people in 23 countries, helping them break free from the patterns, beliefs and old pain that hold them back.
I bring NLP, hypnotherapy, past life regression, inner child healing and energy work together into one system.
You were not born anxious, guarded or unsure. Family, school, work and relationships slowly layered a personality over you that was never really you.
You are not broken. You are layered. Healing is not becoming someone new. It is releasing everything you were never meant to carry, so the real you, the powerful, peaceful, empowered you, can finally lead.
My work stands on three values: freedom, love and contribution.
If you nodded to even one, you are exactly who I built this work for.

Maulin ThakkarTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. I genuinely don’t think I would be the person I am today without Sangeeta ma’am. And before I say anything else, I’m not writing this review just to support her, do justice to what she does, or help her get more clients. I’m writing it because I genuinely want whoever is reading this to understand what having the right person guide you through life can actually do for you. If even one person who is struggling or feels a little lost reads this and decides to speak to her, I think they’ll understand exactly what I mean. Sangeeta ma’am has been there for me through some of the hardest struggles and phases of my life. And the biggest thing about her is that she genuinely hears you. Not just listens and waits to give you advice, she actually tries to understand your thoughts, why you’re feeling a certain way, where it’s coming from, and who you are as a person. She’s extremely loving, caring and understanding, but she also won’t just tell you what you want to hear. Her advice is always thoughtful and calculated. Sometimes she’ll tell me something I don’t necessarily want to hear at that moment 😂, but then a few days later I’ll sit there and realise… yeah, she was right. There have been so many moments in my life where my emotions made something feel like the end of the world, and somehow after talking to her, I could see the same situation from a completely different perspective. And that’s what I think makes her so good at what she does. She doesn’t try to give you some generic motivational speech or tell you how you should live your life. She helps you understand yourself enough that eventually you start knowing how to deal with things better. Over the years, she has helped me become more confident, more emotionally aware, more understanding of myself and honestly just a better version of who I was. A lot of the way I think today and the person I’ve grown into has been shaped by conversations I’ve had with her. Talking to her also never feels overly formal or like you have to filter yourself. I’ve been able to tell her the messy thoughts, the stupid thoughts, the things I’m scared of, the things I’m confused about, literally whatever is going on in my head, and I’ve always felt heard rather than judged. So if you’re reading reviews trying to decide whether life coaching is for you, or whether Sangeeta ma’am is someone you should speak to, I’m not going to tell you that one conversation is magically going to fix your life. That’s not how it works. But I can tell you that having someone who genuinely understands you, challenges you, cares about you and helps you see things you sometimes can’t see yourself can make a much bigger difference than you realise. For me, Sangeeta ma’am hasn’t just been a life coach. She has genuinely played a part in shaping the person I am today, and that’s something I’ll probably be grateful for for the rest of my life. jaspreet sidhuTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google.
